Children's Love As a child I knelt with my eyes closed And printed it there The moon on my mother's white gown And in her long silken hair As a child I walked with my eyes uncertain Until I grew These woods against the brain's dark mass Then I knew When I became an adult It was only then I knew the great gift that God granted all of us We inherent the gifts of our parents All Children are a gift from God God make these inner eyes bore their way Through the lids that will not open till the light of day One of speedy eternal sight Blazing your face forever in the night All honor and Glory untold Our Lord God For he is good & faithful to his children By Carolyn Davis
